The privately owned business was founded in 1903 by Danish immigrant Hans Andersen and his family in Hudson, Wisconsin, where logs arrived via the St. Croix River. Today, Andersen Corporation is an international enterprise employing over 9,000 people at more than 20 locations with headquarters in Bayport, Minnesota, a 2.8 million-square-foot facility that covers 65 acres. Andersen annually manufactures more than six million wood windows and doors, with sales worldwide.

Our Commitment

Respect for the environment isn't the latest corporate initiative at Andersen. For over a century, it's been part of who we are. As an environmentally responsible citizen of the global community, Andersen Corporation is committed to environmental stewardship. We will continuously strive for our facilities, processes and products to meet or exceed all applicable government regulations relating to the environment, and we support these environmental goals:

Exterior Colors

Andersen® 100 Series products let you choose from four colors of nature, including darker selections Terratone® and Cocoa Bean that most vinyl windows can’t offer. All feature a handsome matte finish and never need painting.*

A clearly better view.

With over 50% more clarity than our conventional insect screens, TruScene® insect screens give you beautifully unobstructed views. They let more sunlight and fresh air into your home, yet keep even the smallest insects out. Check with your Andersen supplier for availability.

SmartSun Glass

Our new SmartSun Low-E glass is one of the most energy-efficient options we have ever offered. But that’s just the beginning. It filters out most of the heat from the sun’s rays (solar heat gain), but lets in almost as much light as clear glass. It also blocks 95% of harmful UV rays.

Low-E

Low-E glass is standard on all 100 Series windows.

Dual-Pane

Dual-pane glass is available for projects where cost is a primary concern and codes allow its use.

Patterned Glass*

Cascade and Reed patterns can be ordered with either a vertical or horizontal orientation. In single-hung windows, patterned glass can also be specified for upper or
lower sash only.
